Thank you for considering Crafts n Paws for your custom fursuit, cosplay, costume, plush, or other commission! By placing an order or making a payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service.
GENERAL WORK TERMS
All work is completed under the name **Crafts n Paws**.
All commissions are custom-made specifically for the client. To ensure that the finished piece accurately represents the requested character or design, the client must provide a clear **reference sheet and/or as many useful reference images as possible**.
The quality and accuracy of the final product depend in part on the quality and completeness of the references provided.
Communication between Crafts n Paws and the client is essential. Clients are expected to remain reasonably available throughout the commission process, particularly when approvals, measurements, design decisions, or other information are required.
If a client becomes unreasonable, repeatedly refuses to cooperate, fails to provide required information, or engages in abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behavior, Crafts n Paws may cancel the commission. Any refund will be determined based on the amount of work completed, materials purchased, and unused funds remaining at the time of cancellation.
ALLERGIES & WORKSPACE
Crafts n Paws does not currently have animals in the workspace or in direct contact with the materials used for commissions.
However, we cannot guarantee that our products or workspace are completely sterile, allergen free, or free from environmental contaminants.
Workspace conditions may also change in the future.
If you have allergies or other sensitivities, please contact us before placing your commission.
Clients are responsible for informing Crafts n Paws of any known allergies or material sensitivities before production begins so that reasonable precautions can be discussed.
COMMISSIONS & QUOTES
All commissions are custom-made and created specifically for each client.
Before work begins, we will discuss the design, requested items, materials, measurements, budget, estimated timeline, and any special requirements.
Quotes are based on the information provided at the time of quoting. If the scope of the project changes after the quote is accepted, additional costs may apply.
A commission is not considered officially booked until the required payment has been received.
Quotes are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated. Material costs and availability may change, so older quotes may need to be updated.
CLIENT AGE REQUIREMENT
The client must be 18 years of age or older to commission Crafts n Paws independently.
Clients who are 16-17 years old may commission us only with explicit permission and involvement from a parent or legal guardian.
The parent or legal guardian must communicate with Crafts n Paws regarding the commission and must be responsible for the payments and contractual agreement.
We do not accept commissions from clients under 16.
PAYMENTS
Payment requirements will be discussed and agreed upon before production begins.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
- A 30–50% deposit may be required to begin a commission.
- The deposit is used toward materials, labor, and production costs.
- The remaining balance must be paid before the completed commission can be shipped or handed over to the client.
- The final balance must be paid in full before shipment. No completed commission will be shipped or handed over with an outstanding balance.
For certain small or single-item commissions, full payment may be required before production begins. This may include individual items such as:
- Handpaws
- Feetpaws
- Fursuit heads
- Tails
- Bodysuits
- Other individual components
The exact payment requirement will be stated in the commission quote or invoice.
Accepted payment methods may include PayPal and other payment methods specifically agreed upon with the client.
PAYMENT PLANS
Payment plans may be available for qualifying commissions.
Payment plans can be arranged as weekly, biweekly, monthly, or another mutually agreed schedule depending on the project.
The payment amount and schedule will be agreed upon before or during the booking process.
Clients experiencing financial difficulties should communicate with us rather than simply stopping payments.
We understand that circumstances can change and will do our best to work with clients when reasonable.
If payments stop for an extended period without communication, the commission may be placed on hold or cancelled.
Payments already used for materials, labor, or completed work are not automatically refundable.
COMMISSION BOOKING
Once a commission has been accepted, the client will be given a payment deadline for the initial payment.
If the required payment is not received within the agreed timeframe and the client does not communicate with us, the commission slot may be released and offered to another client.
A commission slot is not guaranteed until the required payment has been received.
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
Because commissions involve custom labor and materials, deposits are generally non-refundable once materials have been purchased or work has begun.
If a client cancels a commission:
- Completed labor may be deducted from any refundable amount.
- Materials already purchased specifically for the commission may be deducted.
- Custom or non-returnable materials may be charged in full.
- Any remaining eligible unused balance may be refunded.
Once a commission is substantially completed, refunds may no longer be available.
DESIGN CHANGES & REVISIONS
Clients should carefully review their design and references before production begins.
If a client requests changes after materials have been purchased or production has started, additional charges may apply.
Additional charges may include:
- New materials
- Additional labor
- Rebuilding or reworking components
- Replacement materials
- Additional shipping costs
Major changes that substantially alter the original commission may require a revised quote.
PROGRESS PHOTOS & CLIENT APPROVALS
Progress photos may be provided throughout production.
Clients are responsible for carefully reviewing progress photos and communicating any requested changes, corrections, or adjustments at the appropriate stage.
If something visible in a progress photo is incorrect or needs to be changed, the client must notify Crafts n Paws before that stage is approved or production continues.
This includes, where applicable:
- Colors
- Materials
- Design details
- Placement
- Sizing
- Shape
- Construction details
- Accessories
- Character markings
- Other visible aspects of the commission
Once a progress stage has been approved, changes to that completed stage may require additional payment.
If the client does not respond to a progress update within a reasonable timeframe, production may continue according to the previously approved design.
After the commission has been shipped, Crafts n Paws is not responsible for changes, alterations, fit adjustments, or issues that should reasonably have been identified and communicated during the progress and approval stages.
MEASUREMENTS & FIT
The client is responsible for providing accurate and current measurements when requested.
Crafts n Paws will provide measurement instructions when necessary.
We are not responsible for fit problems caused by:
- Incorrect measurements supplied by the client
- Significant changes in the client’s measurements after submission
- Failure to follow measurement instructions
- Unreported fitting requirements
- Wearing the item differently from its intended design
If an issue is caused by our construction, we will review the situation and determine an appropriate solution.
MATERIALS
Materials are selected according to the agreed design, quality requirements, availability, and budget.
If a specific material, color, finish, texture, or brand is important to you, please communicate this before materials are purchased.
Where appropriate, material samples or photographs may be provided for approval.
If an agreed material becomes unavailable, we will contact the client to discuss a suitable alternative.
COPYRIGHTED & FAN CHARACTERS
Crafts n Paws may create fan-made cosplay and character-based commissions where permitted.
The client is responsible for providing references and ensuring that any materials they provide may lawfully be used for the requested commission.
Crafts n Paws does not claim ownership of third-party characters, logos, or intellectual property.
SHIPPING
Shipping costs are separate unless specifically included in the commission quote.
The client is responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address.
Once a package has been handed over to the shipping carrier, shipping delays caused by the carrier, customs, weather, strikes, or other circumstances outside our control are not the responsibility of Crafts n Paws.
Tracking information will be provided when available.
The client is responsible for applicable customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, or other charges imposed by their country unless otherwise agreed.
SHIPPING & RESPONSIBILITY AFTER SHIPMENT
Clients must review and approve their commission during the progress and final approval stages before shipment.
Once the commission has been shipped, Crafts n Paws is not responsible for changes, alterations, fit issues, wear, accidental damage, improper use, or issues that were not reported and addressed before shipment.
Damage caused by the shipping carrier should be documented immediately and reported to the carrier where applicable.
Clients should inspect their package and commission promptly after delivery.
COMMUNICATION
Communication is essential to completing commissions correctly and on schedule.
Clients are expected to respond to questions, progress photos, approval requests, measurement requests, and other production-related messages within a reasonable timeframe.
If communication is delayed, the production schedule may also be delayed.
Please keep all communication respectful and professional.
Harassment, threats, discrimination, abusive behavior, or repeated unreasonable demands may result in cancellation of the commission.
PAYMENT DISPUTES & CHARGEBACKS
If you have a concern regarding your commission or payment, please contact Crafts n Paws first so we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve the issue.
Crafts n Paws may provide relevant documentation in response to payment disputes, including:
- Payment records
- Invoices
- Messages
- Progress photographs
- Client approvals
- Shipping information
- Tracking information
- Other relevant commission documentation
Nothing in this section prevents a client from exercising rights provided by applicable consumer protection laws.
REFUSAL OF SERVICE
Crafts n Paws reserves the right to refuse or decline any commission or service.
We may refuse commissions involving designs, requests, timelines, materials, or circumstances that we are unable or unwilling to undertake.
We may also cancel an existing commission if continued cooperation becomes unreasonable or impossible.
Any eligible refund will be determined according to the amount of work completed, materials purchased, and unused funds remaining.
